Internationally-acclaimed Russian pianist Yana Reznik will launch the inaugural performance for Chicago’s new concert series Fifty Seats on Sunday January 15 at 6pm at New Music School, 900 N. Michigan Ave, Level 6.   Assisted by pianist Jeffrey Panko, Reznik will perform favorites by DeFalla and Gershwin including Nights in the Gardens of Spain, Rhapsody in Blue and The Man I Love. Michael Walsh of Time Magazine wrote “having heard every great pianist active since 1971, including Horowitz, Rubinstein, and Serkin, I can confidently say that Ms. Reznik is determined to follow in their footsteps...”A conservatory faculty member at New Music School and winner of the Artists International Competition, Reznik has been a featured performer in such prestigious venues as Weill Recital Hall, Lincoln Center and Disney Hall, has made solo appearances with orchestras internationally including the Moscow Chamber Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic and the World Youth Symphony and appeared on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson performing with violinist Nicola Benedetti.
